Created during a one-month residency at PADA, Portugal, where I developed an algorithm that produced a set of instructions from audio recordings to create physical paintings.
These instructions guided the painting process, foregrounding labor and tactility in contrast to the speed and immateriality of their digital origins.
This piece is made from a field recording taken within the disused Quimiparque industrial park, Barreiro, Portugal.
